This Goyna Bori was thoroughly praised by Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore and Abanindranath Tagore. Even, Nandalal Bose described it as a jewel of the Bengali mother's jewelry box. These Goyna Bori, alternatively known as  Naksha Bori or Gohona Bori or ornamental Daler Bori, are made by artists (Goyna Bori maker) from Purba Medinipur, West Bengal. Prime ingredients used while making this Goyna Bori are Cowpea, Poppy seed and various type of Spices with Bengali Posto (Poppy seeds) as its base. Each artist (Goyna Bori maker) chooses their own designs. Triangles, circles and squares are common along with other geometric designs like shells, lotus, cats, cactus, peacock, owls, poultry, butterflies and many others.
