Shukto or Shuktoni is a Bengali cook's most well-kept secret. A mix of fresh summer vegetables ranging from raw bananas to radish and of course, bitter gourd, lightly cooked in milk, this is a dish that's perfectly representative of the delicacy that characterises Bengali cuisine. The light touch required for a perfect shukto is a matter of years of practice and rather difficult to achieve. Sunrise Shukto Masala has been brought to the market just for this reason. Our blend is a simple combination of ginger, garlic, onion, coriander and cumin, with added aroma of cinnamon, green cardamom and cloves.
